On the first leg, we kicked off the OPPO Flow Mindset, by keeping an open & focused mind with positivity, living life by YOUR defined purpose, and constantly striving for knowledge and growth.

👇 Here's a quick refresher! O.P.P.O is an acronym.

• O = Open Mind. Start Here.

• P = Purpose. Define It.

• P = Preparation. This is Key.

Uhhh.... Wait a second... What about the second O, you know in O.P.P.O.?! 🤔 

Well... Now, that we have the O.P.P. down...

...let's talk about how we RECOGNIZE Opportunity, shall we?!

Second O = Opportunity.  Opportunity is Everywhere. 

There are two theories for Opportunity Recognition...

1. You DISCOVER Them. 👀

2. You CREATE Them. 👊

Discovering opportunity is when you are constantly looking and listening for specific gaps or needs where you can jump in without hesitation.

The theory here is that the opportunity already exists and it's up to you to find it. 🔍

Creating opportunity is when you seek knowledge, build relationships, and put yourself in spots to allow for more doors to open. This is the long game of preparation, practice, and leverage.

The theory here is that opportunity does not exist without individuals building it. 🛠️

However, I don't see Opportunity Recognition as a matter of one way or the other...

This is a DAILY effort to CREATE more opportunities for yourself, while also being present and aware to DISCOVER the ones that "come out of the blue". 🌊

One thing is FOR SURE...

You cannot Discover or Create opportunity without a MINDSET SHIFT.

Now, before you get all giddy 🤪 and start saying YES to EVERYTHING 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️

DON'T.

First, you must determine if it's a GOOD OPPORTUNITY!

A GOOD opportunity is one that ALIGNS with your purpose, fits core values, provides energy, and sparks ideas. 👊

When the opportunity aligns, navigating without hesitation, creating new opportunity from opportunity, ensures greater success. 🙌 

And remember, this is YOUR perception of SUCCESS.

Once you have to O.P.P.O foundation down, everything in life FLOWS from there.

Challenge Yourself. Get Out of Your Comfort Zone.

The absolute BEST way to GROW is to CHALLENGE yourself and mentally commit to trying new things on purpose.

Now, jumping out of an airplane ✈ 3,000 feet up 😱 (ummm.... yes with a parachute, silly!), is not what I'm saying if you're deathly afraid of heights. 😬

Although, facing your fears is definitely one way to overcome things in life, but we're not going to do that to you here. 🤗 

If you have a GOOD OPPORTUNITY in front of you (remember, one that aligns with your well-defined purpose and you've been prepared for it), but it seems scary or you have doubts... 😱

Well then... you KNOW that you MUST go after it to see what comes out on the other side.

If you want to grow a business, but are afraid of speaking in front of people, join a networking group, like BNI 👈. Not only will this grow your business, it will provide the structure and practice to build confidence with your presentation and speaking skills.

If you want to help people, but are afraid of what others will think of you when being more vocal about it, get on social media and just start sharing your thoughts and expertise. It's free and you simply cannot help anybody if they don't know who you are!

If you want to get in shape, but don't know where to start, sign up for a fitness class. Or just start by walking, then build up to running, around the block with Fido. Come on people... Fido needs a walk!! 🐕‍🦺

If you want to find love, but always seem to strikeout, focus on yourself first. Read books, drink less alcohol, and eat healthier. You'll feel better and look better too! That special person always comes around when you're not looking for them. 😍 

Challenging yourself is how you start to CREATE opportunity for yourself.  

Change it up! We're all creatures 👹 of habit, and what's the definition of insanity again?!

OHHH YEAHHHH...
